I made a gun using Arduino for gaming. I used Arduino Leonardo Board, a Joystick controller, 12 push buttons, 3 trigger buttons, and an MPU-3050 module. The dummy of the gun I made by using cardboard. Anyone can make like using youtube videos. In this article, I will guide you on how I made my gaming gun using Arduino Leonardo Board and MPU-3050.

Why I Used Arduino Leonardo Board?

Firstly Arduino Leonardo board is used because that board supports to PC like a mouse or keyboard. You can use the Arduino board to control various functions of a computer. It can simulate mouse clicks and keyboard strokes, which makes it perfect for gaming purposes.

Using Joystick Controller for Moving and Jumping

The Joystick controller is used for moving purposes (W, A, S, D keys), and the inbuilt pushbutton of the Joystick controller is used for jumping. You can connect the Joystick controller to the Arduino board and use it to control the movements of the gun in the game. The inbuilt push button on the joystick can be used to jump.

Using Push Buttons for Keyboard Keys

All the push buttons are for keyboard keys. You can use the push buttons to simulate various keys on the keyboard. For example, you can use one of the push buttons to simulate the 'Enter' key or the 'Escape' key. The possibilities are endless, and you can customize the gun to your liking.

Using Trigger Buttons for Firing and Reloading

The first trigger button is used for the left click to fire, the second trigger button is used for the right click, and the third trigger button is used for the "R" key for reloading purposes. You can use the trigger buttons to simulate mouse clicks in the game. This makes it much easier to play games that require quick reflexes and accurate aiming.

Using MPU-3050 for Aim and Peek

Using the MPU-3050 module, the accelerometer sensor is used to take the aim using mouse coordinates. The gyroscope sensor is used to peek while flipping the gun. These sensors make it possible to aim accurately and move the gun quickly in the game.

Storing the Board and Other Stuff in the Ammo Loader

All the board and other stuff were stored in the ammo loader. You can create an ammo loader out of cardboard or any other material you like. This makes it easy to carry the gun around and store it when not in use.
